David in a few words
During the pandemic I embarked on a career change and used the time to teach myself to code. Using those self taught skills, I managed to secure a position at a fast paced, tech start up called SkiBro. I have spent the last two years there, working across a great variety of code repositories, tackling complex challenges and refining my skills.
I love a challenge and nothing is too big or too small, whether it is small changes to a UI or creating entirely new features working in both the frontend and backend.
What really sets me apart, is the career I had before becoming a developer. For many years I worked as a ski instructor, so when I'm working on your website, I bring all the communication skills I honed over that time. I have a talent for explaining complex issues in an easy to understand way. I look forward to bringing these skills to help on your project!

- SkiBroFull Stack DeveloperE-COMMERCEFebruary 2021 - March 2023 (2 years)The tasks at SkiBro were incredibly varied. Starting as a new developer I initially made small UI changes to the marketplace. After a few months, however, I was creating full new features. Some examples of this are:An entirely new interface in the admin area and the corresponding backend which allowed the admin team to create, edit and delete email templates. This massively improved the speed with which admin could put out marketing campaigns or tweak the tone of our emails.I created tools for the instructors who use the marketplace to create and edit their profiles and availability to teach. This included incorporating an interactive calendar to display and edit the information.I also worked on the marketplace itself. From UI/UX improvements to handling payments and much more.
