Ø Hold comprehensive operational management responsibility for the Marketing function of this major multinational record label.
Ø This includes responsibility for team leadership (manage a team of three reporting into the MD and COO), strategic planning, management of an annual budget of c. £50m, financial planning & analysis, scheduling, quality assurance, demand forecasting and product management.
Ø Spearhead the development and execution of omni-channel marketing strategies to promote a broad catalogue of legacy artists, such as Dolly Parton, Celine Dion, Barbara Streisand, Olly Murs, Billy Joel, Steps, Will Young and the Syco Music roster (including One Direction, Leona Lewis, JLS and Labrinth).
Ø Hold end-to-end management responsibility for a broad variety of marketing campaigns and product release projects. This includes team leadership, concept development, strategic planning, financial management, sales leadership on both digital and physical, artist management, stakeholder management and the leadership of digital teams.
Ø Consistent track record of delivering projects in adherence with all relevant quality, budget and timeframe requirements.
Ø Provide creative direction on the production of artworks, television adverts (both animated and live action), music videos and a holistic range of digital assets.
Ø Coordinate and oversee promotional activities across press, radio and TV, liaising with tour management as appropriate.
Ø Hold full P&L accountability, driving optimal margins via astute commercial management and rigorous control of manufacturing, distribution, royalties and marketing spend.
Ø Build and maintain positive and productive relationships with a wide range of key internal and external stakeholders including artists’ management, suppliers and external agencies.
Ø Provide accurate and holistic reporting to the Managing Director of the Commercial Music Group.
Ø Perform rigorous market analysis to identify and leverage trends and other opportunities, including developing strategically aligned campaigns.
Ø Accountable for overseeing licencing agreements with the relevant teams, ensuring full adherence with all relevant legal requirements.
Ø Established an exceptionally high-performing team via astute recruitment, effective training, targeted coaching & mentoring and robust performance management.
