Jon Lock

Hi, my name's Jon and I'm a writer, editor and proofreader with over 10 years' experience of excellent communications, publishing and web management.

My professional background is in communications and higher education, having previously worked as an editor for the Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education. In this role I was responsible for formatting, editing and publishing in-depth reports on higher education institutions - a position that required both a strong grasp of technical language and the ability to communicate this information in a clear and easy-to-understand manner. Having also worked as Internal Communications Officer for the University of Gloucestershire, I have extensive experience of using engaging language and a welcoming tone of voice to convey vital information to an audience.

On a creative front, I have written and produced several acclaimed graphic novels and tabletop games, overseeing all aspects of production from initial concept to publication. I have also written for several video game projects - for which my clients include Lego, Retroware and Nicalis, Inc. These endeavours, while utilising my creative streak, have also required excellent attention to detail and an eye for quality.
