28 years’ experience in brand communication, she has both client & agency side experience ranging from strategic planning, integrated marketing communication, corporate branding as well as general management of communication business. She started her career on brand side overseeing product innovation & marketing communications for Unilever’s Walls ice cream & Danone’s Biscuits Indonesia. She joined McCann Erickson as Strategic Planning & Consumer Insights Director in 1999 before moving to DDB Indonesia as Strategic Planning Director & General Manager in 2004. She was appointed as General Manager of Advertising & PR business in 2007 up to 2011. From 2015 up to 2022, as the head of unit at Interface in NAVA+ group, she managed impactful brand communication campaigns ie. mass media, digital, on-ground event, community activation, and PR. Since 2011 until today, she has collaborated with multiple advertising agencies, clients, government institutions & universities as well as creative communities across cities & regencies in Indonesia. Recently, she facilitated to rejuvenate brand strategy for IndiHome, Astra International and Arnott's Good Time & Nyam-Nyam in transforming brands to adapt, become agile & resilient in a world that focuses on sustainability & Society 5.0.
A staunch believer in storytelling, Kandi states, “The old methods of storytelling have taught me that communication is at the heart of humanity. I am in a constant quest to find what beliefs people have, where does their strongest influence lie and what are the local ways of storytelling to reach them.”
Her accomplishments include Destination & City Branding to raise the creative economy and tourism in Majalengka, Kutai Kartanegara and Kampoeng Kajoetangan in Malang. These achievements are based on the accumulation of experience gained from creativity, purposeful branding, innovative applied knowledge & best practices that speak her passion for storytelling & multiculturalism of Indonesia.
