Katarzyna Piątek-Arendt

I'm a designer and illustrator with a passion for hand lettering. My favourite projects are those where one can combine great design and illustration to create the best results. My background is from working in a publishing house, so that makes me an expert in working with typography and knowing a lot about it, including the history of type. I recently finished an excellent course about web design and learned how awesome Figma is, so and I'm looking to expand my experience in web design and use all the knowledge I gained.

I believe that good illustration should reflect both the spirit of an author, but also fit the subject like a glove. That's why I use linocut print, iPad, graphics tablet, watercolours and good old pens and pencils. No matter that tool, you can always expect hand lettering, contrasting outlines, witty details and some crooked characters.
