Mike Davis

Mike has been the colourist on two short films I have made. Mike is above all a superb creative collaborator. He has an innate instinct for storytelling through colour and brings a raft of original ideas to the table. Working on a grade, he is resourceful, adaptable and meticulous. His notes are thoughtful and eloquent. The results are spectacular. I look forward to working with him again!

Mike is a complete joy. His work is gorgeous and considered. He is a thoughtful and detailed communicator, and notes and considerations are dealt with swiftly even via email! His instincts are sensitive and superb. We have loved working with Mike on two shorts so far and can't wait to collaborate again.

Mike is the best! I had a wonderful time working with Mike on my first short film. His expertise is incredible. He is very patient, a great collaborator, and has fantastic instincts when it comes to the feel of a film. He is also amazingly efficient. Can't recommend him enough!

I've worked with Mike on three short films (he was the colourist on them all). I cannot recommend him highly enough: his output is first-rate, the best colourist I've worked with, and he's incredibly hard-working and efficient. I love working with Mike!
At the end of a project I simply hand the edit and the raw files over to him and he works his magic. With a quick turn around, no fuss and some fun banter along the way! he sends me back my completed edit looking much prettier than it was when it left my edit suite. A great guy to work with, which i have for over 12 years. I would highly recommend him.

Mike grades everything I produce. He has an artists eye, which for me is crucial to understanding colour and doing the job well. I feel the fact that he is a talented illustrator and painter in his own right does give him that little edge. Amusing and fun to work with. Will always be the first person I call for the job until one of us dies.

Mike is a REALLY great person to work with. He helped us through our first-ever grade, step by step with beautiful results. Creatively and technically he's extremely competent and a dream to collaborate with. We'd love to work with him again.
