- All Hallows Catholic CollegeGraduate teacher of modern foreign languagesSeptember 2010 - August 2011 (11 months)Macclesfield, England, United KingdomAs a trainee teacher in a school rated as "Outstanding" by a recent OFSTED inspection, I undertook all the roles of a Modern Foreign Languages teacher through the year. I prepared and taught lessons to all learning years between y5 and y13 (therefore including several exam groups) in French, and in Key Stage 3 years in Spanish. I was also deeply involved in pastoral care, as I was form tutor for a y9 group. I also innovated by taking students outside of the usual classroom environment and taught them languages through the subject of PE (Content and Language Integrated Learning). I also helped out in various extra-curricular activities. I was observed by OFSTED during the school's inspection and was rated as "good with some outstanding features". The official OFSTED report of the inspection, which can be found on the school's website, specifically quotes my lesson as an example of a successful lesson. The year ended with the award of a post-graduate qualification in secondary teaching on the 1st of August 2011.
