Sarah worked with us during my transition to maternity leave, she took a lead on several projects including a complex compensation review which she delivered excellently. We brought in Sarah to support a significant transformation programme that involved rapid downsizing of our workforce. We needed to run a collective consultation process in order to reduce our headcount by almost 50%. Whilst running collective consultation and redundancy processes was very much part of Sarah's impressive portfolio of experience, our situation was more challenging on the basis that it was totally unexpected by employees. We'd effectively gone from the positivity of an invitation to a Summer conference and party to announcing job losses in the space of days. This situation thus required even higher levels of empathy and support for our people managing the redundancy process. Sarah excelled in this environment and brought the highest levels of professionalism, empathy and understanding and an expertly delivered process. Business pressures were great too and so the process needed to be delivered very quickly and efficiently to challenging timelines. Sarah was able to design and delivery a thorough, compliant and de-risked redundancy process to meet the needs of our Founders and Board. She expertly coached senior managers and directors too, enabling them to deliver hard messages and a safe process. Sarah's exceptional HR background and experience meant she added value at every point, always offering additional layers of advice, support and guidance at a challenging time. The redundancy process was completed without any formal challenges or appeals and that is absolutely testament to Sarah's design and delivery. I had also worked with Sarah previously in another organisation where she built a high-performing people function and drove significant culture change.
